Here at CeliacTable
we want to help Celiacs (and others
following a gluten free diet) and
restaurants who are making an effort to
serve those customers connect!
Our criteria
for what counts as a Celiac-Friendly
Restaurant aren't overwhelmingly
strict, as long as that restaurant is
doing something special for those on a
gluten free diet, and is making an
effort to ensure the safety of Celiac
clientele. That being said, the
gluten free community is very active and CeliacTable gives the community a
platform for expressing their
satisfaction with how each restaurant
meets their needs...and gives them the
ability to rate that performance in a
way that others may find useful in
making their own dining choices:
Having a few key
gluten free dishes
on the menu -- GREAT!
...that AND having a
carefully educated
kitchen and waitstaff --
WONDERFUL!
...that AND offering a full,
printed Gluten Free
Menu for your guests
-- INCREDIBLE!
Just
remember, the minimum
criteria to be listed on
CeliacTable (it's not even being
a restaurant...bars, cafes, etc
are welcome) is that there must
be somethingspecial
being done for GF customers and
there must be a reasonable
expectation of the safety of
Celiac clientele who might
choose to dine there. Each
recommended listing will be
carefully evaluated, and a
decision will be made as to
whether to list the
establishment in question.
Not all submissions are
guaranteed acceptance...but we
can't say how much we value each
and every recommendation!
Most places that recognize the
word "gluten" and how important
it is will make the cut.
We also encourage the
proprietors or managers of
Celiac-Friendly Restaurants to
recommend their own restaurant
for listing, and to register
with us to receive important
announcements and feedback from
the CeliacTable community.
